Here’s a simple recipe for fresh watermelon popsicles:
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of fresh watermelon, cubed
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 1-2 tablespoons of honey or sugar (optional, based on sweetness preference)
- 1/4 cup of water
Instructions:
- Blend the Watermelon: Place the watermelon cubes in a blender. Add the lime juice and honey or sugar if you’re using it. Blend until smooth.
- Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother texture without any pulp, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl. This step is optional.
- Add Water: Stir in the water to the blended mixture. This helps to slightly dilute the mixture, making it easier to pour into molds.
- Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the watermelon mixture into popsicle molds. Leave a small gap at the top of each mold to allow for expansion as the popsicles freeze.
- Insert Sticks: If your molds require you to insert sticks separately, do so now.
- Freeze: Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until the popsicles are completely frozen.
