Santa’s Simple Sugar Sprinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles (plus more for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:

  5. Combine:

    Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough, place them on the prepared baking sheets, and flatten slightly with your palm. Add extra sprinkles on top if desired.
  7. Bake:
    Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Be careful not to overbake—they should be soft.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
