Homemade Sangria with Luccio Moscato d’Asti

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of Luccio Moscato d’Asti (750ml)
  • 1/4 cup brandy or orange liqueur (optional for extra depth)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup green or red grapes, halved
  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1-2 cups soda water or club soda (for added fizz, optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruit:
    • Thinly slice the orange, lemon, lime, and apple.
    • Hull and slice the strawberries.
    • Halve the grapes.
  2. Mix the Base:
    • In a large pitcher, combine the sliced fruits (orange, lemon, lime, apple, strawberries, and grapes).
    • Pour in the orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir well.
  3. Add the Wine and Brandy:
    • Slowly pour in the bottle of Luccio Moscato d’Asti.
    • If using, add the brandy or orange liqueur for an extra kick.
    • Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2-4 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, let it sit overnight.
  5. Serve:
    • Just before serving, add ice to the pitcher.
    • If desired, top off with soda water or club soda for extra fizz.
    • Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  6. Enjoy:
    • Serve the sangria in glasses filled with ice and some of the fruit from the pitcher.

TIP: Replace Luccio Moscato d’asti with any of the Luccio wines to change the vibe and flavor!
