Homemade Sangria with Luccio Moscato d’Asti
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Luccio Moscato d’Asti (750ml)
- 1/4 cup brandy or orange liqueur (optional for extra depth)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup green or red grapes, halved
- 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
- 1-2 cups soda water or club soda (for added fizz, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- Ice
Instructions:
- Prepare the Fruit:
- Thinly slice the orange, lemon, lime, and apple.
- Hull and slice the strawberries.
- Halve the grapes.
- Mix the Base:
- In a large pitcher, combine the sliced fruits (orange, lemon, lime, apple, strawberries, and grapes).
- Pour in the orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir well.
- Add the Wine and Brandy:
- Slowly pour in the bottle of Luccio Moscato d’Asti.
- If using, add the brandy or orange liqueur for an extra kick.
- Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2-4 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, let it sit overnight.
- Serve:
- Just before serving, add ice to the pitcher.
- If desired, top off with soda water or club soda for extra fizz.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Enjoy:
- Serve the sangria in glasses filled with ice and some of the fruit from the pitcher.
TIP: Replace Luccio Moscato d’asti with any of the Luccio wines to change the vibe and flavor!
