Kessler’s Favorite Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and mashed
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1-2 Roma tomatoes, diced (remove seeds for less liquid)
  • 1-2 jalapeƱos, seeded and minced (adjust for heat preference)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced (about 1-2 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional for depth of flavor)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the avocados:
    Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.
  2. Add the aromatics:
    Stir in the red onion, tomatoes, jalapeƱos, cilantro, and garlic.
  3. Add lime juice and season:
    Squeeze in the lime juice and sprinkle in the salt, ground cumin, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  4. Taste and adjust:
    Adjust lime juice, salt, or spice levels to your liking.
  5. Serve and enjoy:
    Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or any dish of your choice.
